Margot Bos Stambler
Born in Washington, Mrs. Stambler spent her childhood in Leesburg, Va. She graduated near the top of her class from Loudoun County High School in 1980. A sixth-generation graduate of Oberlin College in Ohio, she earned a bachelor’s degree in voice in 1984 and received her master’s degree in voice from Indiana University at Bloomington in 1986. Later, she studied voice in Philadelphia with opera singer and teacher Susan Dash. She managed the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra for eight years and served as an organist for St. John’s Lutheran Church in Westminster from 1987 to 1994.
