Tamara Sol Flys

Tamara Sol Flys took her first flamenco classes in Spain at age 10. Upon her return to the U.S., she continued her studies with Lydia Torea and Dini Román. Other influential teachers have been Carmela Greco (daughter of the late José Greco) and La Tati, among others at the famous Amor de Dios School in Madrid, Spain, where Ms. Sol Flys travels annually to continue her studies. She taught at the Peabody Preparatory for 3 years, and currently teaches at Experimental Movement Concepts in Baltimore. A professional performer since 1993, she has appeared in live and televised performances such as Flamenco Fireworks at Phoenix Symphony Hall and the Tucson Convention Center, and Sabor y Ritmo at the Century Club in Los Angeles. She now performs regularly in the Baltimore-Washington area. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
