Michelle Seipel
Michelle Seipel sings the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor at the October 16, 2010 Hopkins Symphony excerpts concert and in Opera Vivente’s October/November 2010 full production. Ms. Seipel has appeared in Opera Vivente’s production of Trouble in Tahiti. Recently, she performed the roles of Anne Egerman (A Little Night Music) with St. Petersburg Opera, Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) with the American Landmark Festival, and Carrie (Carousel) at the Theater at Monmouth. Other credits include The Tender Land with Skylight Opera (recorded for public television) and the 2008-09 national tour of Oliver! Among the opera roles that Ms. Seipel has most enjoyed performing are Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), Despina (Così fan tutte), Sister Constance (Dialogues of the Carmelites), and the Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute). The Wisconsin native earned her master’s degree at the Peabody Conservatory.
