Langston Fitzgerald
As a member of several organizations throughout his career, Dr. Fitzgerald has appeared as soloist with the George Washington University Symphony Orchestra, American University Orchestra and the Kensington-Wheaton Symphony Orchestra. He has performed in the National Symphony Orchestra, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, the United States Navy Band, the Maryland All-State Orchestra, and the Howard University Choir. He was the Principal Trumpet in the Wolftrap-Filene Center Orchestra, the National Theatre Orchestra, the Baltimore Ballet Company Orchestra, and the Harford County Opera Orchestra, as well as the Potomac Brass Quintet and Mount Vernon Brass Players.
Currently, Dr. Fitzgerald plays second trumpet in the Baltimore Symphony, with whom he appeared as soloist in 1985 and 1986, and First Trumpet with the Giovanni Brass Quintet.
