Elisabeth Ganter
Elisabeth Ganter received her first musical training from Emil Fanghänel, former solo clarinetist of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. After receiving her degree from the conservatory in Winterthur, she continued her studies in the USA, with Rosario Mazzeo in Boston and Mitchell Lurie in Los Angeles as well as with Hans Rudolf Stalder in Switzerland. With a repertoire of more than twenty concertos, she has appeared with various orchestras in Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Brazil, Rumania and in many other countries. As avid chamber music lover, she performs duo recitals as well as concerts with her Klarinettenquintett Zürich and the Trio con clarinetto with her own Hammerflügel (a historic pianoforte of 1853). She teaches clarinet at the Zurich conservatory and leads international masterclasses and chamber music courses. Concert tours, festivals and radio recording have taken her all over Europe, to China, Taiwan, Japan, the USA and South America.
