Barbara Kemp

Barbara Kemp is a native Californian and graduate of San Francisco State University. She has appeared as soloist with the San Francisco Symphony, Symphony of the Redwoods, and Mendocino Music Festival Chamber Orchestra. She has performed solo and chamber music concerts extensively throughout Northern California, and taught piano for over 30 years. Ms. Kemp moved to Baltimore in 2002 and joined the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra in 2003, performing regularly in the chamber music series. She is a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of Greater Baltimore, and founder of the Baltimore Two Piano Club, a group dedicated to exploring and performing music written for two pianos. She and her husband spend summers exploring the Maine coast on their 42-foot ketch, Encore.
