Annie d’Arco
French pianist Annie d’Arco graduated with high honors from Marguerite Long’s class at the Paris Conservatory of Music. Since then her performances have been acclaimed in all major cities in Europe and the East. She has performed with other great artists such as Rudolf Kempe, Serge Baudo, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Maurice Andre, and Zino Francescatti in repertoire ranging from Bach and Beethoven to Shostakovich and Gershwin. She has also premiered works of contemporary composers such as Henri Barraud, Pierre Sancan, and Simon Laks. She has recoreded extensively for Oiseau Lyre, Erato, and Musical Heritage Society. Several of her recordings have been awarded “Grand Prix du Disque.” In addition to her concert appearances, Mrs. d’Arco is on the faculty of “L’Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris.”
