Sharon Steinberg
Sharon Steinberg has been heard on three continents in operatic, recital, andoratoria performances. Most recently, Ms. Steinberg made her Alice Tully Hall recital debut to great critical acclaim.
During recent seasons she has appeared with Annapolis Opera, Bel Canto Opera of NYC, Central City Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Southwest Virginia Opera in such roles as Despina and Fiordiligu in Cosi fan Tutte, Kathie in Student Prince, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri, and Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore.
As a concert artist Ms. Steinberg’s repertoire encompasses Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater through Mahler’s Symphony No. 8. She has appeared with the George Mason Chorale, Harford Choral Society, and the Roanoke Symphony. While in Italy, Ms. Steinberg performed Vivaldi’s Gloria with Maestro Joseph Del Principe in Sienna.
Ms. Steinberg has received numerous awards including semi-finalist in the Marian Anderson International Vocal Competition, the winner of the Maryland NATS Competition, and winner of the Annapolis Opera Competition.
A native of Queens, New York, Ms. Steinberg received her Master of Music degree from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College.
